My approach is holistic: I look at what you eat, how active you are and how you live your life. In short, how you got to where you're at. Together we formulate a plan that will take you to your target weight. I will be right there with you, mentoring all the way: sharing information, helping to find out what works and what doesn't, guiding, reminding, supporting and cheering you on... to say nothing of putting you firmly back on track when you wobble.

Before we meet

I will send you some forms and questionnaires to give me an idea of what you eat and drink, how active you are and how you live your life:

 

- three-day food diary

 

- food frequency questionnaire

 

- weight history and readiness to change questionnaire

 

Face-to-face or on FaceTime
Meet & greet (1.5-2 hours)

A one-to-one meeting (either here in my office or over FaceTime) plus follow-up analysis:

 

- detailed measurements (weight, body fat percentage, body mass index, waist circumference, blood pressure)

 

- in-depth discussion (health issues, cause of weight gain, lifetime weight fluctuations, family weight profiles, lifestyle, disordered eating)

 

- session notes outlining the implications of your current stats and where you are in terms of a healthy weight/diet/lifestyle 

 

- recommendations for improvements

 

Sessions & reviews (45-60 mins)

More one-to-one meetings with a clear focus on you and your progress. This will involve weigh-ins, a food diary, SMART goals, discussions around topics that are relevant to you (eg portions, planning, blood sugar, the change process, food lables, high-risk situations). Each session is followed up with an email detailing your progress and goals.

 

Reviews every six weeks or so with full measurements plus a follow-up report
